Our client, GHD is one of Australia’s leading professional consulting companies with a strong focus on the delivery of innovative, sustainable solutions. They understand the benefits of providing a quality office fitout for staff. When the time came to fit out their own offices in their new premiere location of 211 Victoria Square, Adelaide, they asked Ambius to install and maintain an interior plantscaping design that would not only look fantastic, but help them gain points towards their Green Star rating with the Green Building Council of Australia.
The decision to have indoor plants was made for environmental and aesthetic reasons. GHD wanted to add indoor plants to provide a quality visual amenity that also helped to make staff feel more comfortable and relaxed. The plant installation provides a green, contemporary look whilst having limited impact on the available workspace within the office.
GHD’s Interior Design team worked with Ambius to source and install this project. Ambius assisted with recommendations of suitable plant varieties and designs within the set budget. Ambius recommended using a Schiavello Vertical Garden, with mass planting in small pots. The plants used on the project are two varieties Scindapsus aureus (Pothos). Using the Pothos en masse helped to provide design impact and provided walls of plants that are very striking from every angle.
