In Australia the Ambius Indoor Plants head office is based in Sydney. We employ over 160 colleagues, who work throughout Australia in various plant technician, sales, support and managerial roles. about working for Ambius Indoor Plants.
Meet some of our team in the Pacific Region, who lead the design, sales, marketing and operations and support for Ambius in Australia.
Ray Borg, Regional Managing Director, Ambius Asia Pacific
Ray always wanted to be a Fireman or an Astronaut when he was little…but somehow ended up in the interior plantscaping business! He was a late bloomer to the industry and learnt his trade by asking all the dumb questions!
Ray excels in keeping an eagle eye on all aspects of the Ambius Indoor Plants business across the Asia Pacific region. He enjoys creating the Ambius Indoor Plants business and encourages his team to always think outside the square. He values team players and has built a dynamic and fun culture within the business. He continually challenges the team to come up with new ideas, products and services for our customers who want the very latest interior plantscaping, plants, containers and design …and is proud of our legendary service - a trademark of Ambius Pacific.
When he is not travelling somewhere in the Asia Pacific Region for work, he resides in Sydney and in his spare time can be found in the garage tinkering on his very old four wheel drive, dreaming of the day when he will actually get time to drive the thing…
Russell Miller, Regional Manager, Ambius Pacific
Rusell began with what was then the Rentokil Tropical Plants in May 2001 as Branch Supervisor, after 7 years in the recruitment industry. Russell is responsible for all installations and service delivery in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra & Christchurch offices. It is also part of his remit to retain, train and motivate all of his colleagues.
He has a history of achievement within the company, winning the Tropical Plants Division Branch of the Year award for both 2003 & 2004. Following this, he was awarded the National Operations Manager of the Year Award in 2004.
Russell is married with two sons. He resides in Adelaide, South Australia and as well as being a keen follower of Chelsea FC and Richmond FC still plays in South Australia's over 35s soccer league.
Client retention is his number one priority, ensuring that costs remain in line with performance. He firmly believes that if you look after and keep your colleagues, you also keep your clients. Russell feels Ambius Indoor Plants is the industry leader in total service provision.
Lindsay Blake, Regional Manager, Ambius Pacific
Lindsay is no stranger to horticulture and the Ambius indoor plant business and has been working out of the Melbourne branch since starting way back in 1997 as the Rentokil Gardener. He then worked his way up to Rentokil Gardening Supervisor and in a short time was promoted to Rentokil Operations Manager. Lindsay then ran the Victorian business from 2004 and in 2008 was promoted to Senior Business Manager.
In 2010 he was promoted to Regional Manager for Ambius Pacific. In this new role Lindsay spends a lot of time travelling between branches across Australia and New Zealand. He lives with his partner in Melbourne and has two beautiful children who keep him well and truly busy in his spare time.
Paul Ferguson, Business Manager Ambius Auckland
Paul Ferguson is the Business Manager of Ambius Pacific’s biggest branch – Auckland. This is also one of the busiest Ambius branches with a highly organized and efficient team covering a large geographical area in the North Island of New Zealand. Paul came to the Ambius business in 2010 with strong business experience in account management, staff development, training and coaching and in business development and management. He is currently studying part time for a Bachelor of Business degree at Massey University. He is married, and in what little spare time his has left, he enjoys sports, gardening and reading.
Jill Allison, South Island Business Manager, Ambius New Zealand
Jill lives in Christchurch and believes it is the most beautiful city in NZ (not that she’s biased on anything…). She is the South Island Branch Manager for Ambius New Zealand and covers the whole island, from Invercargill up to Nelson.
Jill is focused squarely on our clients’ needs, with an understanding and insight that only comes from running your own business for nearly a decade. She is a mad keen runner and raced at 1990 Commonwealth Games in the 400m and 4x400m relay (she got 4th in relay in case you’re wondering!!) These days she is into biking & is currently training for a 100km race!
Tracy Stephen, Business Manager Wellington, New Zealand
Tracy Stephen is the Ambius Branch Manager based in Wellington. Tracy knows a thing or two about the Wellington branch, having been the Operations Manager there before being promoted to Branch Manager last year.
In her time with Ambius, Tracy has focused effectively on improving the service efficiencies and standards. Tracy originally comes from a fitness management background. This, together with her strong marketing, advertising and landscaping industry experience, makes for an awesome winning combination with a strong focus on our Ambius customers, who our paramount to our business.
Elaine Wright-Williams, National Design Manager, Ambius New Zealand
Elaine is the resident Designer on board at Ambius New Zealand. Elaine has a background in sales and marketing in the Architectural market throughout New Zealand. In her role as National Design Manager for Ambius New Zealand, Elaine works closely with Architects and Interior Designers, incorporating indoor plants from the initial design phase of commercial projects of all sizes.
Elaine has two other self-confessed passions – nature and shopping. She lives in a close to perfect world….close to the beach, where she can enjoy the view whilst shopping! Plants and design have always been a part of her life and she enjoys conceptualising new and innovative ways of doing things and linking all the pieces to achieve a great result!
